Clynelish 14 Year Old is a Highland single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery sits on the north-east coast past Inverness, alongside its neighbour Brora.
It is recommended as a way into smokier malts, and it is also described as one that experienced single malt drinkers will enjoy.
The nose combines sweet smoke with lemon and lime cordial, Demerara sugar and wax. The palate is soft and woody with a coastal note, caramel, honey, floral hints, delicate spice and vanilla pod, and it finishes long with creamy honey-coated oat cakes.
