Clynelish – 2017 8 Year Old Rare Find Refill Sherry Hogshead 312284 (70cl, 61%)

This is an 8 year old single cask Clynelish from the Highlands, distilled in 2017 and bottled in a 70cl bottle at a natural cask strength of 61%. It comes from Rare Find, the single cask label of Gleann Mòr Spirits, as part of the Worth the Weight collection for Autumn 2026. It was fully matured in a refill sherry hogshead, cask 312284, which adds gentle dried fruit and a subtle oak influence beside the waxy distillery character. 305 bottles were filled, with natural colour and no chill filtration. The nose offers Victoria sponge with buttercream, berry compote, bourbon biscuits and burnt toffee. The palate is sugar-dusted red and black berries with white pepper, and the finish is sweet fruit with delicate cask spice.
