Coalition Whiskey Sauternes Barriques is a Kentucky straight rye made from a 100% rye mash bill, using both malted and unmalted rye. The rye is sourced from Waldeck Farms, a mile from Kentucky Artisan Distillery, where it is distilled in copper pot stills.
The whiskey is aged for five years in oak barrels, then finished for up to nine months in Sauternes sweet white wine barriques. It is bottled at 94.2 proof (47.1%).
