Cocchi Storico Vermouth di Torino (75cl)

Cocchi Storico is a red vermouth from Piedmont, made to the company's original recipe. It starts from Moscato white wine, with sugar that is caramelised first and extra alcohol added for strength, then infused with aromatic herbs and spices. Cinchona and rhubarb give the pale wine its brown colour. Wormwood, citrus peel, sandalwood, musk, myrrh and nutmeg complete the recipe. The nose is rich and dense, echoing the botanicals. On the palate come cocoa, bitter orange, camphor, balsamic notes, rosemary and other herbs, and it closes on citrus and almond. It can be sipped neat or used in cocktails and long drinks.
