A 13-year-old Cognac from Jean Fillioux, matured under the attention of the maître de chai in the Cognac region of France. It has a deep golden colour and releases intense aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla and sweet spices, with a light oak note from ageing in traditional barriques. On the palate it is velvety and harmonious, with flavours of plum, apricot and caramel, enriched by delicate nutmeg and dark chocolate notes. The balanced structure leads to a long, persistently aromatic finish. It is suited to slow sipping after a meal, perhaps with dark chocolate or aged cheese.
