Coleburn Deluxe 32 Year Old 1993/2026 - Murray McDavid - Oloroso Sherry Butt Finish

This is a 32 year old Scotch blend from Murray McDavid, made in 1993 from single malts and grain whiskies from Speyside, the Highlands and the Lowlands. Murray McDavid has worked since 1994 under the idea of the art of maturation. The components rested in an Oloroso sherry butt with especially thick staves, which allowed slow, steady extraction from the wood. The bottling is limited to 560 bottles. The nose shows orange oils with sweet spices and old oak. The palate brings barley sugar and stewed fruit with floral touches. The finish is long, with heather and the structure of aged malt.
