This is a 41 year old blended Scotch whisky from Coleburn, a closed distillery, bottled by Murray McDavid in its Mission Gold series. It was distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2022 from a single Oloroso sherry hogshead, cask number 41, giving 54 bottles at 48.7%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose offers dried fruit, fine sherry notes and a hint of spice. The palate is velvety, with nuts, dark chocolate and subtle oak. The finish is long, warm and slightly sweet, underpinned by sherry spice.
