Coleraine – 1959 34 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey (70cl, 57.1%)

This is a 34-year-old single malt Irish whiskey from Coleraine, distilled in 1959 and released in 1993 at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 400 bottles were filled, fifteen years after the distillery had closed. Coleraine was once among the most respected distilleries in Ireland. Distilling in the area dates back to the early seventeenth century, although the distillery itself began operating more than two hundred years later. In the later nineteenth century it supplied whiskey to the House of Commons and sold it under the name Old Irish HC.
