Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Amaranth Grain of the Gods is a bourbon that uses amaranth as its flavouring grain. The Aztecs cultivated amaranth and knew it as the Grain of the Gods, and its name roughly translates as never fading. The release honours Taylor's spirit of innovation. Taylor is described as the founding father of the modern bourbon industry. On the nose it shows fresh spearmint and honey with a hint of cherry. Coffee and vanilla come through on the palate, followed by a long finish of oak and honey.
