Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Barrel Proof (75cl, 67.3%)

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Barrel Proof is a straight Kentucky bourbon bottled directly from hand-selected barrels, uncut and unfiltered, at 67.25% (134.5 proof) in a 75cl bottle. The series recalls the way whiskey was produced before Prohibition, when Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. owned Buffalo Trace Distillery. The barrels were aged in warehouses built over a century ago under his supervision. Cooked berries, caramel and a floral note lead the nose. The palate is bold and spicy, with toasty vanilla, dried oak and pepper, and the long finish carries a strong rye character with lingering fruit.
