Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr Bottled in Bond is a Kentucky straight bourbon, distilled in spring 2010 and aged for 15 years and 4 months. It is bottled at 50% ABV, the 100 proof that the Bottled-in-Bond Act requires.
It is the debut release of the 2025 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, the first bottled-in-bond bourbon in that collection and its first new addition in nearly two decades. It marks the collection's 25th anniversary and pays tribute to Colonel Taylor, who bought the O.F.C. Distillery, now Buffalo Trace, in 1869 and championed the 1897 Act.
The nose offers warm vanilla, seasoned oak and maple. Baking spices and gentle wood lead the palate, and the finish runs from oak and vanilla into soft caramel with a hint of cherry.
