Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Four Grain is a straight Kentucky bourbon, bottled in bond at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is aged for twelve years.
The mash combines corn, rye, wheat and malted barley. The series recalls Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., who bought a small distillery on the Kentucky River in 1865 and paid close attention to the quality of his grain.
The flavour is sweet, with hints of caramel and vanilla, and spicy with notes of clove and pepper.
