Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel (50%)

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel is a Bottled in Bond bourbon at 100 proof (50%), with each barrel hand-picked. It is named after Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., who bought what is now Buffalo Trace Distillery and campaigned for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. The bourbon is aged only in Warehouse C, which Taylor built in 1881. The bottle follows the design he used more than a century ago. The nose brings lightly toasted oak, dried figs and butterscotch. The palate is sweet, balanced by tobacco and dark spices, and the finish is just long enough to invite another sip.
