Colonel E.H. Taylor Single Barrel Bourbon Bottled in Bond (75cl, 50%)

Colonel E.H. Taylor Single Barrel is a Bottled in Bond bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, bottled at 100 proof, or 50% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. Each bottle comes from a single hand-picked barrel, and the mash bill is high in rye. The barrels are aged in Warehouse C, built by Taylor in 1881. The whisky is named for Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., and the bottle follows his original design. The nose offers vanilla, toffee, lightly toasted oak, dried figs and butterscotch. The palate has maraschino cherries, butterscotch and vanilla beans touched by char, with tobacco and dark spices, and a long, warm finish.
