Compagnie des Indes Blend 8Y West Indies is a rum inspired by Caribbean traditions, made by selecting rums from several West Indian islands. It matures for 8 years in oak barrels.
It has an intense golden colour. The nose shows ripe tropical fruit, vanilla, nutmeg, clove, woody notes and sweet tobacco. On the palate it is elegantly balanced, with molasses, caramel and a light balsamic note. The finish is long and persistent, with sweet spices and a light astringency.
It comes in a 70cl bottle and can be enjoyed neat or as a base for complex cocktails.
