Compass Box Art & Decadence Blended Scotch Whisky (70cl, 49%)

Art & Decadence is a blended Scotch whisky from Compass Box, made as a homage to the Decadent Movement of the late nineteenth century. It is bottled at 49% ABV in a 70cl bottle, as a limited edition of 9,496 bottles released in November 2023. The base is Balmenach malt finished separately for nearly a year in Madeira, Sauternes and Marsala casks. Linkwood malt from Palo Cortado sherry-seasoned butts and Glen Moray malt finished in Oloroso sherry-seasoned butts are added, with grain whisky from the closed Port Dundas Distillery. The nose offers red apples, waxed wood and wine notes, with banana, toffee and custard. The palate brings dried fruit, apricot and vanilla, and the finish is dark chocolate and fragrant oak.
