Compass Box Artist's Blend is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and at natural colour. Roughly 55% of the blend is single malt, from Clynelish, Linkwood and Balmenach, along with a Highland blended malt. The grain whisky comes from Cameronbridge.
The casks are first-fill American oak, first-fill European oak ex-sherry butts and new, heavily toasted French oak.
The nose is vanilla and floral notes, mandarin and cardamom, over salted caramel and baking spices. The palate is baked apple and butterscotch, then caramel, rhubarb and custard and lemon sherbet. The finish is medium to long and creamy, with vanilla, toffee apple and a hint of toasted oak.
