Compass Box Celestial – The Extinct Blends Quartet (70cl, 50%)

Compass Box Celestial belongs to the Extinct Blends Quartet, a set of four blended Scotch whiskies inspired by lost characters and flavours. This one takes its inspiration from a whisky of the 1960s and is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is built on smoky malt whiskies from Ardbeg and Caol Ila, parcels that were first brought together six years ago for the original No Name. Compass Box describes the result as its interpretation of an older, more refined style of smokiness, with tar notes mingling with a herbal character.
