Compass Box Crimson Casks (70cl, 46%)

Crimson Casks is a sherried blended malt Scotch whisky from Compass Box, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It joined the producer's core range in late 2024, taking the place of expressions such as The Spice Tree. The nose brings stewed dark fruit, plums, damsons and chocolate brownie, with cardamom, cinnamon and a little orange zest. The palate is thick and syrupy, with pomegranate, molasses, rum raisins, dates and chocolate-covered nuts. The finish is long and warming, with blackcurrant jam, candied cherries, toasted oak, cinnamon and clove.
