Compass Box Delos (70cl)

Compass Box Delos is a blended Scotch whisky from the independent blender Compass Box, in a 70cl bottle. It was assembled by John Glaser's team with grain whisky as a principal component rather than a background element, combined with malt whisky. Compass Box more often makes blended malts that exclude grain whisky. Here the aim was to show what matured Scottish grain whisky can contribute, drawing on grain whisky chosen to challenge the idea that grain is lighter or less interesting than malt. The character is creamy and vanilla-led, with a smooth texture and an elegant feel.
