Compass Box Experimental Grain (46%)

A limited edition blended grain Scotch whisky from Compass Box, bottled at 46% and limited to 6,142 bottles. It is natural colour and not chill-filtered. The spirit was made at the Loch Lomond Distillery from peated malted barley and distilled in a copper Coffey still. Although it is 100% malted barley, the column still means it cannot be classed as a single malt. The nose combines banana and toffee with soft, savoury barbecue smoke and hints of rum and raspberry. The palate is soft and oily, with almond and vanilla, and a flavour of burnt pine cones develops.
