Compass Box Metropolis Blended Scotch Whisky (70cl)

Metropolis is a blended Scotch whisky from Compass Box, in a 70cl bottle. It is the third release in the Extinct Blends Quartet, and it looks to the city for its theme: blended Scotch began in Glasgow and Edinburgh, where blending vats supplied bottles to cities around the world. Vanilla comes first on the nose, followed by several honeys, then fudge, apricot and pineapple leading to fresh fig. The palate is rich and very complex, with sultana, apricot again and hints of smoky woodiness. The finish is long and sweet, with a pleasing weight.
