Compass Box Metropolis is a blended Scotch whisky from the Extinct Blends Quartet, released in September 2023. It was assembled to evoke classic city-made blends, using rare and idiosyncratic stocks chosen for the quartet.
It is bottled at 49% ABV in a 700ml bottle, at natural colour and without chill filtration.
Vanilla and varied honeys lead the nose, followed by fudge, apricot, pineapple and fresh fig. The palate brings sultana and apricot with hints of smoky woodiness, and the finish is long, sweet and weighty.
