Compass Box Nectarosity is a blended Scotch whisky at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle, natural colour and not chill-filtered. It launched in September 2024 as one of four whiskies in the brand's Core Collection.
Lead whiskymaker James Saxon used Compass Box's custom virgin American oak casks twice: first to sweeten grain spirit, then to age malt whisky. The blend combines Highland malts and Lowland grain whiskies from 11 distilleries, aged in first-fill bourbon and virgin American oak casks, with some Palo Cortado sherry casks in the mix.
It is zesty on the nose, with honey, poached pears, nectarine and lychee. Juicy apricot and pineapple follow, then toffee, vanilla and butterscotch sauce, and a lasting flavour of cinnamon bun.
