Compass Box No Name No. 3

Compass Box No Name No. 3 is a peated Scotch malt blend and the third release in the No Name series. As in the earlier releases, a heavily peated malt leads, softened by malts of a subtler smokiness and backed by unpeated malts that add fruit, elegance and spicy sweetness. Here the lead is a seaweedy, barbecue-scented single malt from Laphroaig, joined by malt whisky from Bowmore that brings hints of mango and pineapple at the edge of ripeness. The character is tarry and smoky, with a tropical fruitiness running through it.
