The Peat Monster is a blended malt from Compass Box, made from Caol Ila and Laphroaig single malts with a small share of Highland malt blend. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The blend is 64% Caol Ila, 35% Laphroaig and 1% Highland malt. It was matured in refill hogsheads and custom French oak barrels, and is non-chill-filtered with natural colour.
It is aimed at drinkers who like an intense, smoky, peaty dram.
