Compass Box The Peat Monster is a peaty blended malt created by John Glaser, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
It contains malt whiskies from Islay together with a helping of Highland malt, and is richly smoky, with underlying hints of fruit and oak.
The nose is peaty and salty, with a medicinal note and sweet fruit. The palate adds oak, floral notes and smoky bacon, and the finish stays sweet, with roses, violets and spice.
