Compass Box The Spice Tree (70cl, 46%)

A blended malt Scotch whisky from Compass Box, made only from Highland single malts, drawn mainly from the village of Brora. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky first matures in a mix of first-fill and refill American oak casks. A second maturation follows in custom-made casks with new heads of heavily toasted French oak from 195 year old Vosges forests. This is the redesigned version of the whisky, which became part of the Compass Box core range. The original release used French oak stave inserts in the barrels, a method later discontinued.
