Vellichor is a limited edition blended Scotch whisky from Compass Box, bottled in January 2022 in a run of 3,246 bottles. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 44.6% ABV. The name refers to the atmosphere of antiquarian bookshops.
The blend rests mainly on Highland Park single malt (38.9%) and a blended malt parcel (29.3%). A blended Scotch parcel (15.6%), Macallan single malt (12.1%) and a small share of Caol Ila (4.1%) complete it. The whisky was matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, recharred hogsheads, refill sherry butts and refill hogsheads.
It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
