Compass Box Whisky Menagerie (70cl, 46%)

Compass Box Menagerie is a blended malt built around whiskies that have something animalic beneath their fruity or spicy character. It is bottled at 46%. The base is chocolatey, meaty malt from Mortlach, joined by citrusy, earthy malt from Deanston. A Highland malt blend aged in custom French oak barrels adds a brooding spiciness, while Glen Elgin brings musky tropical fruit and Laphroaig adds tarry smoke. The style leans towards mossy woods rather than floral meadows.
