Connemara 12 Year Old is a peated Irish single malt whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% vol. It is described as the only smoky Irish single malt, combining firm peat smoke with sweet fruit and vanilla.
It is bottled from a selection of each year's best and oldest casks, and it won gold as best Irish single malt at the 2013 International Wine & Spirit Competition.
The nose is vanilla, malt, oak and peat smoke. The palate offers malty sweetness, vanilla, citrus, heather, a little pepper and peat. The finish is long, with vanilla and fine smoke.
