Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

Connemara Peated is an Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. The malted barley is dried over an open fire of burning peat, reviving an old Irish tradition, and the smoke passing through the barley gives the whiskey its pronounced peat flavour and aroma. It won a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2008, and a gold medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition the same year. The nose brings smoke, peat, heather, honey and oak. The palate is soft, with honey, malt, dried fruit, peat and vanilla.
