The nose offers ripe blackberry and raspberry, violet, chocolate and spice, with complexity from ageing in wood. The palate is full and enveloping, with balanced tannins, lively acidity and flavours of dark fruit, ending in a long, persistent finish with a light balsamic note. It pairs with red meats, game, aged cheeses and rich, spiced dishes.
