Convalmore – 1975-2015 Gordon & MacPhail Rare Old RO/15/06 (70cl, 46%)

A single cask Speyside malt from Convalmore, distilled in 1975 and bottled in 2015 by Gordon & MacPhail for their Rare Old series. It was bottled at 39 or 40 years old and comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in a refill sherry hogshead that yielded 299 bottles at 46%, without chill filtration. It is described as waxy, fruity and oily, and as an example of an older Highland and Speyside style.
