This is a Convalmore from 1981, a 16 year old single malt Scotch whisky released as First Cask Malt. It is gold in colour.
The nose brings curry, pine sap, leather, apples and soot, along with green bananas and a sweet mustard note.
On the palate there are crystallised fruits, citrus, bananas, mango, angelica and lemongrass, with a green spiciness towards the middle. The finish is long, with chocolate, orange, marzipan and bitter almonds in the aftertaste.
