Convalmore – 1984 32 Year Old Special Releases 2017 (70cl, 48.2%)

This is a 32-year-old Speyside single malt from Convalmore, distilled in 1984 and bottled by the distillery owner, Diageo, for its 2017 Special Releases. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 48.2% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky came from a small batch of refill American oak hogsheads, and 3972 bottles were released. The first official Convalmore was a Rare Malts edition in 2003, followed by Special Releases in 2005, 2013 and this one in 2017. It is described as a style of waxy fruitiness.
