Cooperstown Select is a limited-edition straight rye from the Cooperstown Distillery in New York, bottled at 51% in a 750ml handblown, baseball-shaped decanter.
It is made from New York State grain with a mash bill of 80% rye and 20% corn. The whiskey was aged for two to three years in new charred oak barrels, then finished in hand-selected Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.
The palate is described as classic rye spice of cinnamon, clove and black pepper over a darker core of black cherry, plum and toasted oak. It is full-bodied, with a warm, wine-kissed finish.
