Corsair Dark Rye American Rye Malt Whiskey (75cl, 42.5%)

Corsair Dark Rye is a Tennessee whiskey made entirely in house at Corsair Distillery in Nashville and bottled at 42.5%. The grain bill is 61% malted rye, 4% chocolate malted rye and 35% malted barley, with no corn, so it counts as both a rye and a malt whiskey. It was aged in small barrels of new charred oak. The nose has bright citrus and rye spice touched by chocolate. The palate is thick and viscous, with rye malt spice and oaky sweetness, then chocolate nibs and a subtle coffee roast. The finish is clean and distinctly rye, with a lingering chocolatey warmth.
