Corte Rugolin Valpolicella Ripasso Magnum (1.5L)

A red wine from Corte Rugolin, produced in the Veneto region. This Magnum holds 1.5 litres and comes in an elegant box. It is made by a second fermentation of Valpolicella wine on Amarone and Recioto pomace, giving greater complexity, body and aromatic intensity. On the nose there are mature fruit such as cherry and plum, with spice notes and a subtle finish of vanilla and chocolate from ageing in wooden barrels. On the palate it is rich and velvety, with a balance of acidity and soft tannins and a notable persistence. It suits robust dishes such as red meats, game and aged cheeses.
