A Jamaican dark rum from J. Wray & Nephew, made from fermented molasses and distilled in the Jamaican tradition. It is bottled at 40% alcohol in a 75cl bottle and has a deep colour.
It suits sipping as well as cocktails such as a Dark & Stormy, Planter's Punch, Mai Tai or Rum Old Fashioned.
The nose is rich with dark molasses, caramel, dried tropical fruit, vanilla and warm spice. The palate is full-bodied, with concentrated molasses, dark caramel, dried fruit and coconut. The finish is long and warming, with molasses, dark fruit and gentle spice.
