Cotes du Rhone Blanc L'Insouciante Cave de Cairanne

L'Insouciante Blanc is an organic Cotes du Rhone produced by Cave de Cairanne from vineyards in and around Cairanne, in the Vaucluse, on the left bank of the Rhone. The vines grow on gentle, sun-exposed slopes with clay-limestone soils rich in pebbles. The blend is 50% Grenache Blanc, 30% Roussanne and 20% Marsanne. In the glass it shows a pale, bright gold colour, with an intensely fruity nose and elegant white flower notes. The palate offers notable roundness with delicate acidity for freshness and harmony. Vinification includes brief skin maceration, direct pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation. Serve between 12 and 13 C. It suits aperitifs, seafood tapas, baked or grilled fish, salmon, shellfish and goat's cheese.
