Courage & Conviction American Single Malt is made from 100% malted barley and aged for a minimum of five years. It is bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle.
The whisky is matured in a mix of first-fill ex-bourbon casks, ex-European red wine STR cuvée casks and ex-sherry casks, covering oloroso, PX and fino. The cask selection was inspired by the Virginia climate.
On the nose there is caramel and butterscotch. The palate brings bright red fruit such as raspberry, along with cocoa, barrel spice and vanilla, and the finish is creamy and smooth.
