Courage & Conviction Cuvée Cask is an American single malt made in Virginia from 100% malted barley. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle and has been aged for a minimum of four years.
The whisky matures in ex-European red wine casks that have been treated with the STR method: shaved, toasted and re-charred. The technique was developed under the guidance of the late Dr Jim Swan.
The nose offers plum, dark raspberry, chocolate torte and clove. On the palate there are tart cherry, blood orange, cocoa and burnt sugar with baking spices, and the finish is creamy, with candied walnuts and ginger.
