This is an American single malt made from 100% malted barley and aged for a minimum of four years in Virginia. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle, without chill-filtering and with its natural colour.
The maturation is in former sherry casks from Jerez in Spain, holding Pedro Ximénez, Fino and Oloroso. Virginia's hot summers and cool winters are credited with driving the interaction between spirit and wood.
The nose brings cherry, fig, honeycomb, apricot, lemon and sugared almonds. On the palate come golden raisin, caramelised plum, hazelnut, soft leather and toffee with a silky texture. The finish is creamy, with soft caramel and baking spice fading slowly.
