This Cognac from Courvoisier was created with Suntory's chief blender Shinji Fukuyo. It is bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Chief blender Thibaut Hontanx aged a blend of Grand Champagne, Petite Champagne and Borderies eaux de vie in Japanese Mizunara oak. The bottle design shows a Mizunara tree winding around the glass, and 500 bottles were released.
The palate is delicate, with tropical fruits, chocolate, honey, exotic flowers and jasmine, then sandalwood, dried fruits, cinnamon and blond tobacco. The finish is smooth and mellow, with vanilla, roasted cocoa, pepper and soft tannins.
