Cragganmore 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% ABV. The distillery was founded in 1869 by John Smith, and its spirit is made in stills with flat tops rather than the usual swan necks. The nose is soft, with fresh herbs and flowers alongside intense fruit, gentle vanilla and sweet honey. On the palate it is firm and rounded, mostly malt, with touches of wood fire and sandalwood. The finish is very malty, with hints of wood smoke coming through gradually.
