A 12 year old Craigellachie from Speyside, bottled by Wm. Cadenhead at 53% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in December 2007 and bottled in autumn 2020, in an outturn of 246 bottles. It was matured in ex-bourbon and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The nose has ripe plum, dark cherry, raisins, ginger and brown sugar spice, with a hint of charred oak. On the palate come sour cherry, balsamic vinegar, toasted nuts and rich caramel in a velvety texture. The finish is long, with plum and oak spice.
