A 13-year-old Speyside single malt from Craigellachie, bottled by Duncan Taylor at 54.6% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the independent bottler's Octave series, in which whisky is aged in small 63-litre octave casks, so a greater proportion of the spirit is in contact with the wood.
This one spent five months in a sherry octave. It has robust dried fruit and nutty notes alongside the bold, slightly meaty character of the distillery.
