Craigellachie 13 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled in 2022 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added caramel colouring.
It matured first in bourbon casks and then in sherry casks, before a final period of 50% in first-fill sherry casks and 40% in first-fill bourbon casks.
Its character is compared to a bonfire night: smouldering marshmallows, roasted pineapple, baked apples with cloves and a subtle hint of cordite, set apart from traditional Speyside malts.
