Craigellachie – 17 Year Old (75cl)

Craigellachie 17 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 750ml bottle, matured in a mixture of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The distillery's character is robust rather than delicately floral, which comes from oil-fired malt and worm tub condensers. In this bottling the bourbon casks bring vanilla, toffee and fudge notes, while the sherry casks add richness and complexity. The nose opens with vanilla and silky exotic fruits, followed by dried pineapple and a hint of smoky liquorice.
